Dr. Petrova received an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Economics from Boston College and an M.A. in industrial economics from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia, Bulgaria. Dr. Petrova taught at Boston College, Wellesley College and Paul Smith s College before coming to SUNY Plattsburgh. Her articles have been published in Small Business Economics, New York Economic Review, International Journal of Business and Management, Journal of Management Policy and Practice, Atlantic Economic Journal and others. Dr. Petrova’s research interests focus on entrepreneurship and economic development, regional development, entrepreneurial financing, family business, part-time entrepreneurship and labor market decisions.
